As a well established Museum, the educational page of the Castle did not disappoint. Though it is almost identical to that of Wollaton Hall, this is because they are both run by Nottingham City Council.
There were some notable differences, Wollaton Hall, has sessions on History and Science. Whereas the Nottingham Castle, given its ancient background, sticks to just History sessions. The same approach is taken, teaching the children what they learn at different educational stages. They have sessions on the very famous Robin Hood, which i suppose is probably the reason why many children want to visit the castle. On that session thy included a picture of a very happy child with face painting, this is a good tactic to excite the children through education.
There are also various teachings on the World Wars and the Romans. Nottingham Castle site did not fall short, I was impressed by how it looked like they took time to research what the children learnt and incorporated that into their sessions.
